Now that the Democratic Convention is over, all eyes (for those remotely interested in political conventions at least or an excuse to travel) are on NY. If you are (un)fortunate enough to be in NYC that last week of August, you might want to seek refuge in Queens. Besides of course visiting Yemmy at the QMA, here are some places you might want to see:

1) The Unisphere and the Panorama of NYC
2) The Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden
3) American Museum of the Moving Image
4) Jackson Heights, an Indian and South Asian Neighborhood
5) Water's Edge Restaurant
6) P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center
7) Downtown Flushing, NYC's Other Chinatown
8) Queens MoMA
9) Lemon Ice King of Corona
10) The Mets at Shea Stadium
