Ari came over to watch a "Vilma Santos" double feature: Anak and Bata Bata Paano Ka Ginawa(one of my all time favorite Pinoy flicks, so I was happy to watch it again, for the errr, 5th time?). I attempted to cook Turkey burgers! I even added some Mama Sita barbeque sauce in my attempt to "marinate". The boys thought it was good. I couldn't get myself to have more than a bite, even after I had determined it was indeed cooked. When mom came home later she actually thought it tasted good. Ari's told me my mom scares him especially after she made a number of "mean" comments about my weight. I told Ari that I was used to it. Well, for the most part. What I don't understand is, Mom thinks by "reminding" me of how fat I have become in private and in front of guests, she actually thinks a light bulb will flash over my head making me finally do that definitive thing that will get me to lose weight. Maybe it makes herself feel better to lend her "honest, yet brutal critique" of me. Well, good for her. It only makes me want to get fatter. Hah.

Can I just tell you how much I love Emmy's blog? This is the blog I've always wanted to have. Is this what you would call blog envy? *Sigh* Is there hope for me yet?
