I can't believe I'm still up at 4 in the morning. Came back from the 6+ hour long Bamboo Girl Zine Benefit...so much fun yet so inspiring and thought provoking. Never let anyone tell you there's no talent in the Pinoy community - anywhere. Since maARTe was one of the sponsors, we got more promotion than we expected, with Margarita's funny, but generous comments about us. She's cool peeps:) There was a raffle and we contributed maARTe t-shirts (with the popular maarte sticker saying, "no brides here but we can mail-order a boot up your ass!"), a maARTe mug and mousepad. When the new maARTe issue finally goes up, (I think I learned my lesson again not to give any indications of when it will actually come out. Basta surprise na lang, hehe) those will be some of the products in our store. Yay! B, Cia, and I sat in the back for most of the first half, but then I just had to get outta there for awhile, I needed some air. There were so many people there, it really was standing room only. Thankfully many left during the intermission and there was a little more room to breathe. My fave performers though were Bobby Bandurria'sKevin Camia and Emily Chang of Two Tongues. Anyways, the main reason I posted now is coz I finally figured out who Model Minority is! I found his site a while back from the maARTe counter referrals and knew he had to be someone I knew or at least knew of, the Pinoy artist community here is not so big. Anyway, you'll just have to email me or wait for a future maARTe issue to reveal who he is. Heh. Oh, and I'm risking jinxing myself but I talked to the person who's currently in the position I'm applying for and she said, "I want you to get the job, but shhhh!"

:)

Oh! And the interview went well! Even though I thought I was gonna run out questions at some point, B jumped in with a few good questions and I managed to think some up on the spot. She truly rocks. She was playing at the Bitter End tonite and I soooo, wanted to go see her perform but, hey maARTe duty calls, di ba? I think its just awesome to have too many good events with Pinoys involved on a Friday night. Galeng natin, me so proud.
