Ok, I've been trying to blog for days now, and nothing happens. Who knows if this will get posted.

Anyways, here's an example of why I wouldn't be proud to be Pinay, not to mention the 3 or 4 editorials dedicated to her recent antics today in the Inquirer:



In the unexpected Senate outburst, feisty Estrada supporter Senator Miriam Santiago jumped at opposition senator Raul Roco's line of questioning before she slammed a group of spectators in the public gallery for purportedly making provocative gestures. Security officers evicted the three spectators. Santiago did not say what provocative gestures they made. Minutes earlier, Santiago, who had been questioning a prosecution witness, claimed Roco had made unseemly remarks aimed at her and had failed to follow court etiquette.



Eek, 'ka hiya. Miriam Sanitago is what Pinoys would deem pikon, or as some Filams might say, pecan.


I wrote this to a friend recently about the current situation in the Philippines: What's going on now in the Phil. is like worse than I could ever have imagined. I still can't believe what's happening. Di ba parang isang drug-induced nightmare? Di ba?


What can we do about it from where we are?
