Or something like that.
Starting today (or when the mood strikes thereafter) that section will be for little creative spurts of fiction, semi-fiction, or something that will hopefully be part of a larger novel (or short story, hehe) that WILL come about...errr...someday.
I'm psyched for September 14, for the Babaylan book launch/reading in which I will be reading my piece that was published in it, "Tsismis." Actually, the thing I'm excited about is the fact that my friend, Bing, who incidentally is somewhat of a theater artist as she is an alum of the Philippine Educational Theater Association, will be performing it with me. After all, what is tsismis with a lone singular voice? Di ba? Well, we will be "updating" it. Fast forward to the millenium (the piece was written in 1996) and we will "conclude" that people are more direct these days with their "unintended" insults. Drawing from my recent visit to the Philippines, in which I had to endure every night of the lamay (wake) explaining to relatives and family friends alike why I had become so damn "taba." Hehe, we'll come up with the laundry list of replies I had used and those I wish i had used...Are you gonna be there?
